Worthing
Worthing is what happens when Brighton says "I need some space" and Bognor says "not that much space." It's a seaside town where the average age started at forty-five and quietly kept climbing while everyone insisted the place was getting younger, and where the pier being voted the best in Britain in 2019 remains the most exciting thing anyone will say to you all week. The South Downs sit behind it doing the heavy lifting on the postcard shots, and the town gets on with the business of being the coastal town people move to when they've decided they've had enough of being interesting.
