Shoreham-by-Sea
Shoreham-by-Sea is where Brighton people move once they've turned 38 and admitted Hove was always going to win. The port still works, the airport is old enough to have filmed Poirot, and the river is thick with houseboats owned by people who need you to know they own a houseboat. It doesn't pretend to be Brighton, which is either the most honest thing about the place or the tell that someone here wishes it did.
