Windlesham
Windlesham calls itself a village, which is a modest word for a place where even the highest hill is somebody's back garden. Highwaymen used to work the heath here, stopping the London coaches and taking what they could carry. They were eventually run off, and the asking prices took over the job. The M3 runs straight through the middle, the one bit of Windlesham anyone can use for free.
