Lightwater
Lightwater was a farm when Bagshot was the town that mattered, and it has since outgrown Bagshot in every way except the one that gets you to London, because the station is still Bagshot's. The village is boxed in by the M3, a bypass, the Red Road and a Ministry of Defence track for testing military vehicles, which is more perimeter security than any cul-de-sac in Surrey has asked for. It began as holiday chalets for Londoners who wanted a weekend on the heath and grew into the place people now stay home from, very comfortably. Brian Blessed lives here, so the village does have one loud thing in it.
