Upper Edmonton

A hospital with a high street attached·Greater London·London

Upper Edmonton still calls its high street The Angel, after a pub knocked down in 1968 so the North Circular could get wider, and in all the decades since nobody has come up with a better name. The road won that argument and has gone on winning most of the others. Estate agents call the place well connected, and they are right in the sense that the traffic is always very well connected to your front window. At least North Middlesex University Hospital is just up the road, for the day you try crossing it on foot.
