Probus
Probus is a village that sold its soul to a bypass and came out ahead, because the traffic that used to grind through it now roars past a field instead. What's left is a church tower taller than anything else in Cornwall and a population that has quietly agreed the tower is the exciting bit. Nobody here is waiting to be discovered, and the ones who moved down expecting a coastal village with sea in it worked out their mistake somewhere around the second wet February.
