Gorran Haven
Gorran Haven is a fishing village that stopped doing much fishing and got very comfortable about it, sitting in a fold of cliff two miles south of Mevagissey with the smug air of somewhere that knows the coast path has to come to it. The head of the Secret Intelligence Service grew up here, which explains a lot about a place where everyone knows exactly who bought which cottage and precisely nobody will tell you. Bungalows outnumber the picture-postcard fishermen's cottages by a comfortable margin, though you would never guess that from the photographs, because the photographs are all taken from the beach looking up. Come for the harbour, stay because the road out is genuinely a bit of a faff.
