Pinner
Pinner is a London suburb that still calls itself a village, and the house prices are how it collects on the claim. The fair has turned up every year since the fourteenth century, Mrs Beeton's book on running a household came out while she lived here, and the place has been quite sure how things should be done ever since. Heath Robinson gets a museum in the park, a fitting tribute for a suburb that has built an elaborate contraption for staying exactly as it is.
