Innsworth

A village in name, Gloucester in everything else·Gloucestershire·South West England

Innsworth was thrown up after the war out of houses designed to last twenty years, and it has been politely ignoring the deadline ever since. Every road is named after a bird, a tradition the newer developers keep up with the loyalty of people who know a theme is cheaper than a high street. The pub was the Bullfinch, known to everyone as the Bully, and when it was flattened the sign survived at the top of Bullfinch Way, where it still points loyal drinkers at nothing.
