Hanwell
Hanwell is the westernmost scrap of the London post town, held onto with the grip of a place that knows exactly what the word "London" is worth on a listing. It has a canal, a flight of locks, a Brunel viaduct and a village green, which is a lot of Sunday-supplement scenery for somewhere estate agents still introduce as "near Ealing". Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster both keep their cemeteries here, so the smartest addresses in London do move to Hanwell in the end. They just wait until the commute stops mattering.
