Brentford
Brentford is older than London and has spent most of the time since as the place an army ransacked on its way to somewhere more important. Brunel built a dock here for freight, which is now flats, and the Grand Union Canal ends here as if it took one look and decided that would do. The best view of Kew Gardens is from the towers that went up across the river from it, so Kew got the gardens and Brentford got the view of them. Buyers come for the water and end up very fond of their double glazing.
