Acton, London
Acton has more railway stations named after it than anywhere in the country bar London itself, one for every point of the compass, and people still describe it as "near Ealing". Estate agents sell its southern streets as the Chiswick end and its western ones as the Ealing end. That leaves Acton as the bit in the middle nobody puts on the brochure, which is also the bit where the Elizabeth line stops. Plenty of buyers who wanted Chiswick and flinched at the price are only now noticing that the fast train into town leaves from their end.
