Selsey
Selsey is where the road runs out and the town settled down to wait. The Normans took the cathedral north in 1075, the railway gave up in 1935, and the sea has been collecting the rest in slow instalments. The bungalows are compromise furniture for people who weren't planning to be around when a second storey would have mattered. Whitstable it is not, never wanted to be, and would prefer you didn't ask.
