Grove, Oxfordshire
Grove is the largest village in the Vale of White Horse, which is a bit like being the tallest hobbit, and it has kept building until Wantage can hear it breathing. It is home to a Formula One team, a fact residents mention often and benefit from never, since the fastest thing most of them do each morning is queue on the A338. The station shut in 1965 and the county has been politely wanting a new one ever since. Even the fighter jet on a pole outside the technology park gave up in the end; Storm Eunice took it down in 2022.
