Shepperton Green
Shepperton Green is the bit of Shepperton that the film crews drive straight past on their way to the studios, and the residents would like them to keep driving. It's post-war suburbia done without apology: semis, hedges, a second car on the drive, and a river near enough to be lovely in June and a topic of conversation every wet January. People move here to be near the Thames, then spend a surprising number of evenings checking what the Thames has planned.
