Paddington

A whole postcode named after the way out·Greater London·London

Paddington is the bit of London most people only ever see from a platform, usually while working out whether the Bristol train has a seat left. A bear from darkest Peru turned up here with a label round his neck and was taken home by the first family who noticed him, which is still the fastest anyone has got out of the station. The people who do stay past the concourse get the canal at Little Venice, Hyde Park at the bottom of the road, and the private pleasure of watching the rest of the country queue for platform one every Friday.
