Oxted
Oxted is where people end up once they can afford to stop mentioning which bit of South London they came from. The Greenwich Meridian runs straight through the school and down Station Road East, so the town sits at zero degrees and quietly treats that as a personality trait. Limpsfield has grown right up to its edge and still insists, with great courtesy, that it is a separate village. The railway cuts the town in half, and both halves agree that the best thing about Oxted is the train that gets you out of it by eight.
