Datchet

Datchet looks across the Thames at Windsor Castle and gets its post addressed to Slough, and nobody on the High Street has fully made peace with it. The lord of the manor still holds the title and owns not a single brick of the place, which makes him the only person who has worked out how to enjoy Datchet without a mortgage. Everyone else paid for the river view. The river has never treated that as a final arrangement.
