Chelsea, London
Chelsea is the most famous address in London that never got round to building a Tube station, on the reasonable assumption that anyone who matters arrives by car. The King's Road still dines out on its rebellious youth and now sells the same jeans as every high street in the country, while Sloane Street handles the serious damage to bank accounts. Even the football club plays in Fulham. Chelsea lends its name to half of west London and its postcode to almost nobody.
