Brockley
Brockley's borders have been creeping outward since the station opened in 1871, mostly because estate agents learned that a flat in New Cross on Monday turns into a flat in Brockley by Thursday, with a new price to match. The fields that once grew giant rhubarb on London's night soil are now streets of Victorian villas, and the night soil is the one original feature nobody has applied to restore. Someone crowned it the best place in London to live in 2021, and the residents have been trying very hard not to mention it ever since.
