Hornsey

Hornsey is the postcode Crouch End writes on its envelopes, and the people living in the half that didn't win the best-place-to-live vote have mostly given up correcting anyone. One Saxon chieftain called Haering managed to name Hornsey, Harringay and the borough of Haringey, so nobody round here can spell where they live with any confidence. Even the River Moselle was put underground, which makes it the only thing in the valley that ever found somewhere to park.
