Horndean

Post-war suburb still pretending it's a village·Hampshire·South East England

Horndean was a coaching stop until the A3 turned up and ate it whole. The village centre is a 1960s shopping precinct that estate agents call characterful because the alternative word would be true. What Horndean actually is, beyond the dual carriageway and the post-war semis, is harder to say. Locals mostly settle for telling you it isn't Waterlooville.
