Brookmans Park
Brookmans Park is famous for a radio transmitter and for being a point that pilots steer by on the way to somewhere else, which is roughly the amount of attention the village enjoys. Its history is mostly rich families being petty about houses. One owner pulled down his second mansion because it was nicer than the one he lived in, and his own manor later burned down when a painter got careless with a blow lamp. The stable block they retreated to is now the golf clubhouse, and the place has kept that sense of priorities ever since.
