Worcester Park
Worcester Park has spent a century unable to decide whether it belongs to London or Surrey, and has settled the matter by building its high street around a Waitrose. John Major grew up here, which tells you roughly how much excitement to expect, though in fairness the gunpowder mill on the Hogsmill did once blow itself up. The streets are interwar semis as far as the eye can see, each with a hedge trimmed by someone who has opinions about other people's bins.
