Chessington
Most people know Chessington as the place the school coach parked for the day, and the people who live here have learned to give directions by rollercoaster. Away from the theme park it is interwar semis, two stations and a railway that carries on past the last stop, over a concrete bridge and into a wood, because the plan ran out before the track did. Cromwell's lot burned the big house down, and it ended up as a theme park attraction, which is roughly how history works here. Enid Blyton lived on Hook Road and went somewhere else to write about adventures.
