Trevone
Trevone is a car park, a beach, and a hole in the ground, and the hole is the main event. It fell in on itself centuries ago and locals have been walking dogs past it ever since with the calm of people who have seen the sea take worse. The village sits three miles from Padstow, which is close enough to eat there and far enough to feel superior about it, and nearly everything that changes hands here changes hands for the kind of money that suggests the buyer never intends to spend a February in it. Come for the fossils, stay because you bought a bungalow you can see the water from and now you have to justify it.
