Marlow Bottom is Marlow money living somewhere with a name that sounds like a playground insult. It runs the length of one Chiltern valley, a long ribbon of post-war detached houses and bungalows where the second car is standard issue and walking is something done to a dog. It became its own parish in 2007 and has been introducing itself as "just outside Marlow" ever since.
