Leyton is what Hackney's renters find when they notice the River Lea is all that stands between them and Hackney rents. Vogue said in 2015 that all eyes were on it, and the eyes duly turned up with a pram and a mortgage offer and started stripping the old terraces back to the floorboards. The best view of the Olympic Park is from the High Road bridge over the A12, which is roughly as close as most of the Olympic money came.
