Fairford

A Cotswold postcard with the station torn out·Gloucestershire·South West England

Fairford is a Cotswold wool town with a medieval church, a river and an air base that has hosted American bombers, which is the part the holiday-let listing calls "peaceful surroundings". The town once rioted and smashed the farm machinery being built in its own streets, though the aircraft have proved harder to get a hammer to. Buyers come for the postcard and hear the soundtrack on their first viewing with the windows open.
