Drybrook
Drybrook is a Forest of Dean village with a name that sounds like an estate agent's apology, built over old mine workings that run under more front gardens than any viewing will mention. Buyers come for the forest at the end of the road and for prices that look like a misprint to anyone priced out of the Cotswolds. Then they find that almost everything past the primary school gate needs a car. Nobody ends up here by accident, and the bus timetable makes sure of it.
