Bowerhill

A demobbed airbase that took up the school run·Wiltshire·South West England

Bowerhill is an old Royal Air Force station that got turned into a suburb and never stopped saluting. The streets are named after warplanes, which is a lot of Lancasters and Falcons for a site that spent the war teaching electrics. Even the pub swapped The Harrier for The Pilot, the only promotion anyone round here has been handed since the forces left. Somewhere in the business park sits a factory designed by a knighted architect, and the building most residents know best on a Saturday is still the tip.
