Sindlesham

Commuter belt wearing a village's name badge·Berkshire·South East England

Sindlesham sits on the far side of the M4 from Winnersh and has treated the motorway as a moat since the day it arrived. The old watermill on the Loddon now grinds out hotel bookings instead of flour, which is roughly where the whole area's money went. People move here for Reading's salaries and a Wokingham address, and the motorway lets them pretend those are two separate lives.
