Sandleheath
Sandleheath is the New Forest address for people who did the sums and stopped just short of the New Forest. It sits west of Fordingbridge, which is already the compromise, so this is the compromise's compromise, and it turns out to be quietly good at it. There is a prep school, a scattering of bus stops that work mainly as ornaments, and a night-time economy best described as agricultural. Nobody arrives here by accident, and very few leave.
