Launton is the village Bicester hasn't got round to eating yet, and the people who live there read every planning notice like a ransom note. It has its own church, its own primary school and a strip of farmland between it and the next estate, which locals treat as a moat. Coachloads of shoppers pour into Bicester Village for discounted handbags without once wondering what lies off to the east, and Launton would very much like to keep it that way.
