Hedge End

A market town that became a retail park·Hampshire·South East England

Hedge End quadrupled in size the day the M27 turned motorway proximity into a selling point, and it has been comfortable with that trade ever since. This is a town that grew up around a retail park and decided that was personality enough. Somebody once found oil underneath it and couldn't be bothered to dig it up, which tells you roughly how much drama the place is prepared to tolerate. It does exactly what it says on the tin, and the tin is a large Marks and Spencer just off the bypass.
