Winterbourne
Winterbourne has a duck pond, a hilltop spire you can see for miles, and a fourteenth-century tithe barn, which is the village doing its best impression of somewhere you'd visit on purpose. Then the M4 arrived in the sixties and quietly settled the argument about what the place is actually for. It is Bradley Stoke with older bricks, full of people who tell themselves they live in the countryside and prove it by driving everywhere. The duck pond, in fairness, remains genuinely good.
