Herne Hill
Herne Hill is for people who wanted Dulwich's good manners and Brixton's good nights out and refused to pick. It straddles two boroughs, so residents get two councils to write stiff letters to, and they use both. The most biblical thing to happen here in recent memory was an elderly water main bursting under Half Moon Lane, and the cause the neighbourhood rallied round for years afterwards was getting the pub back. Priorities set, and nobody apologising for them.
