Chickerell

Chickerell is what happens when a Dorset village spends sixty years quietly becoming a housing estate and nobody has the heart to tell it. It sits two miles from Weymouth with the Fleet Lagoon on one side and an industrial estate on the other, which is the whole personality in one sentence. The Jurassic Coast is on the doorstep, and so is a gas power station, and locals will point out the first one first.
