Buckhurst Hill
Buckhurst Hill has been called a London suburb since before the First World War and has spent the whole time politely declining to join. It rides the Central line into town and lets the City of London look after its forest, then sends its bin complaints to Essex, which is a bit like living in someone's spare room for a century and insisting you're only visiting. The people who buy here wanted the Tube at the end of the road and Essex on the envelope, and the annoying thing for everyone else is that they got both.
