Cotford St Luke
Cotford St Luke is a village that grew out of a Victorian lunatic asylum, which is either a warning or a selling point depending on how your last house move went. Almost everything here went up in the last forty years, so the place has the tidy, slightly unnerving coherence of somewhere designed all at once by people who liked cul-de-sacs. There is a primary school built on what used to be the asylum playing fields, a lot of parked cars, and a two-mile gap between you and anywhere that sells anything. Bring a driveway and a sense of humour about the second one.
